ABOUT SOULCRAFT
Soulcraft Makerspace is a workshop and creative community built around the enduring value of working with one’s hands.
We believe that making things changes how people see the world. When someone designs and builds an object themselves, they begin to understand materials, tools, and problem-solving in a deeper way. More importantly, they begin to see themselves differently. The act of creating something real reshapes how a person relates to the world around them.
Soulcraft exists to cultivate that experience. We provide tools, instruction, and space for people who want to learn, experiment, and build. In the process, a creative community forms naturally around the shared work of making.
OUR APPROACH
While Soulcraft offers classes, workshops, and access to tools, our work is not simply about teaching skills. Learning here is better understood as a posture toward life.
When people design and build something with their own hands, they engage curiosity, persistence, and creative problem-solving. These habits extend far beyond the shop. Whether someone ultimately works in an office, a laboratory, a classroom, or on a shop floor, the mindset developed through making remains valuable.
The goal is not only to teach people how to build things, but to cultivate a way of thinking that encourages curiosity, capability, and self-reliance.
OUR WORK
The work of Soulcraft rests on three interconnected pillars.
Craftsmanship
We believe skill matters. Working with real tools and materials develops patience, precision, and respect for the craft.
Creativity
Making invites experimentation and design thinking. Each project becomes an opportunity to explore ideas and solve problems in new ways.
Community
Creative work is rarely done in isolation. Soulcraft is built around a community of makers who learn from one another and support each other’s growth.
EDUCATION AND LEARNING
Soulcraft also works with schools, educators, and families to explore how making can deepen learning. Through partnerships with schools, workshops for students, and collaborations with educators, we help connect hands-on experience with problem-solving, design thinking, and real-world understanding.
You can learn more about our approach to education and the programs we offer on our “Learning at Soulcraft” page.
STUDIOS AND CREATIVE INCUBATION
For some members, learning to make leads to something more. Artists, designers, and craftspeople often reach a point where they want to develop their practice more seriously.
Soulcraft offers studio space and expanded shop access for makers who want to grow their work, develop a business, or deepen their craft. Within a community of experienced instructors and fellow makers, creative work has the chance to evolve into something sustainable and meaningful.
A PLACE TO MAKE
Whether someone arrives with years of experience or is picking up a tool for the first time, Soulcraft exists to support the process of learning through making.
Tools matter. Skill matters. But the deeper value lies in what happens when people take ownership of a project, solve problems, and bring an idea into the physical world.
That experience changes how a person sees what they are capable of.
