MAY 18th & 20th OR JUNE 15th & 17th | 6 pm - 9 pm
Combine your creativity with utility to craft a handmade bench brush. Keeping your workspace tidy is a practice that is well worth the time. From the workbench to the sewing table to the kitchen, a bench brush is always helpful to have in reach.
This two-session workshop is designed for all skill levels; some shop tool experience (though not necessary) will be helpful. You will be making a small custom wooden handle for your brush using the bandsaw to cut out your base shape, as well as the miter saw and drill press to prep the handle for the bristles.
Using Tampico - a fiber harvested from the Agave plant - we will create uniformly sized bundles of bristles to be fastened into the handle and trimmed. This is a strong yet fine natural fiber that works great for sweeping fine dust as well as larger debris.
At the end of this class, you will take home a unique and handmade brush that will last for years to come.
This class is offered twice:
Mon May 18th & Wed May 20th | 6 pm - 9 pm
Mon June 15th & Wed June 17th | 6 pm - 9 pm
Select which dates you prefer in the drop-down menu before adding to your cart. You must attend both sessions to finish your brush.
Class minimum of 2 students, maximum of 6. If the class minimum is not met, students may reschedule or receive a full refund.
