In this beginner-friendly class, students will learn how to design for block printing, and then carve a custom, reusable 4×5 stamp to take home! Students will first design on paper, then the instructor will go over how to transfer the image to a linoleum block, carve the block using various tips, and then ink and hand-print the design on printmaking paper. Consider trading prints with classmates at the end!
All supplies are included in the price of this workshop! Just bring an idea or reference image, and wear clothes you don’t mind getting inky.
Class is a 3-hour session, minimum of 6 students. If the class minimum is not met, students will have the opportunity to reschedule or receive a full refund.
