Fridays, Aug 14 - Sept 18 | 5:30pm - 8:30pm
Build your own hardwood flat bow! Students will begin by selecting their wood, either red oak, maple, or hickory. Then, students will learn how to safely use various hand tools such as drawknives and saws to craft their bow. The instructor will go over the anatomy of a bow, as well as best practices for use and maintenance. The bow will be finished with a simple jute bowstring and a natural oil, ready to use for hunting or sport.
The class takes place over the course of six Fridays—5:30pm - 8:30pm on August 14, 21, 28, & Sept 4, 11, and 18.
No experience necessary! Minimum class size of two students, maximum of 6. Should the minimum not be met, students will have the opportunity to reschedule or receive a full refund.
